IN OUR FIRST YEARS WE HAVE ACHIEVED:
We became ACNC registered and obtained DGR status, making all future donations fully tax-deductible.
We held a successful launch, in person and online, building our community together with marine conservation trailblazers including Valerie Taylor, Sea Shepherd, Laura Wells, ORRCA, CollaborOceans and Ian Thorpe.
We broke our fundraising target for year 1, raising over $30,000 with a further $100,000 committed for our next financial year. This was possible with support from our communities, high net worth individuals, and the Sapphire Foundation.
We launched our Australian Sea Lion Recovery Foundation Grant, commissioning three research projects: building a prototype of pup-shelters in South Australia, DNA lab Sequencing of the Abrolhos colony and the purchase of Sea Lion Cameras and GPS Tagging.
We support the National Recovery Team, a team of marine researchers and scientists who provides species-specific guidance to inform appropriate focus areas.
